Introducing the New Timber 27.5
Kids keep growing, so we've added a hardtail 27.5 bike to our lightweight lineup. Made from the same lightweight 7000 series aluminum, this bike is ready to shred with 130mm of front fork travel and boost front and rear spacing for the knobbiest of tires! You don't have to be a kid to ride these bikes either—adults of shorter stature will LOVE the lightweight of this hardtail, which you can build for YOUR riding terrain in three different build levels and dozens of configuration options.
We've designed the Timber 27.5 to be the perfect transitional bike for those coming off our Timber 26 or any 26" bike! This modern hardtail combines a lightweight 7005 aluminum frame with 130mm of responsive suspension for better handling and more fun on the trails. Whether you’re gearing up for your next epic adventure or hitting your local race, this bike does just about everything well. An added benefit is that this bike likely weighs 5 pounds less than others you might be considering at the bike shop. This significant weight savings makes climbing easier and more enjoyable, and it means longer rides with friends and family.
Our ultimate goal is to build the lightest production 27.5 bike with the best-in-category frame, wheels, and component specs, so you can dominate the trails and races!

As you move up to the Pro and higher builds with a 10-50+ cassette, we suggest a 28-tooth or larger chainring size.

Customer service and knowledge is top of the line. Brett was awesome to deal with as we exchanged several calls discussing options as I got measurements from my son. Brett’s recommendations were spot on. My son’s bike showed up in a spring snow storm. He was not deterred and insisted assembly was done that evening. A test ride in the snow followed immediately! Thanks again to Brett and the entire Trailcraft build crew!

So happy with the decision to get this bike for our 9 year old! The service was excellent. The product is awesome. And you can’t beat the light weight of this bike when you’re moving up to from a 24″. Our daughter is 4’8.5″ so we decided to skip the 26″ and go to 27.5″ straight away. She adjusted to it very quickly, after an afternoon ride. Highly recommend!

We love it! The strong frame, the beautiful welds, the fork actually works! An exciting season ahead of us in Minnesota. My 6th grader will train with the high schoolers this summer . This bike will eat up the trail without rattling apart, so he can keep up with the bigger riders. Only upgrade we will do is foam grips. Easy to set up yourself. Will you ever make adult bikes? đŸ™‚

Built up a Timber 27.5 in turquoise with the super pink package in the Pro spec for my 8-yr old amazon daughter who is 4’8″ with a 28″ inseam. After a few rides to school and around the neighborhood, we took it on trails, and my daughter’s abilities have skyrocketed! She cleans punchy climbs and has more confidence than ever on the DHs. Also, the slow speed control on the bike when navigating tight areas is notable.
We have been riding the bike to school every day, and I can hear other kids tell their parents they want a bike like that and want to ride to school too! The Trailcraft Timber 27.5 pops with color and style and inspires kids to ride bikes.
Thank you Brett for the excellent customer service thus far! Keep up the good work!
